Less is More
by Han
colour of seeming purity
shade of assumed chastity
fragments of pathetic fallacy
bemusing books
complicated contents
concrete spine
not designed
for feeble minds
caressed by spindly fingers
seeming prelude to comprehension
alas
thrown like doll into
dancing flames
“What does this mean!”
they candidly ask
…
yearn to drench woe
into pages
let ink, in the form of blood,
seep through the papers;
serrate the throats of
songbirds
puff ’em up with vile words
vanish the vulnerability
bleed the bother
wheels within wheels
you fear the unknown and
so do I
Great use of vocabulary! The imagery was impressive as well. I wasn’t sure what the meaning of the poem was, or if each stanza held a different image.

Thank you! ’twas a hybrid of many vestiges and happenings, the mix was intentional 🙂

I really enjoyed reading this. Poetry is always a bit scary for me to read, but I felt transfixed by this. I particularly liked the alliteration. And it appears that you have a good sensibility with word choice–you say a lot with just a few words. I had a couple of moments where it was like “woah”.
Thanks for sharing that with us,
